Here’s a simple guide to what men should wear horse riding, whether it’s your first lesson or a return to the saddle.
1. Start with Proper Riding Breeches
Forget jeans — they’re not built for the saddle.
Riding breeches are designed with stretch, grip, and breathability to keep you comfortable and secure.
Look for:
- A tailored fit that moves with you
- Knee or full-seat grip for extra stability
- Lightweight, durable fabrics that handle all-season wear
Style tip: Choose versatile colours like navy, bone, or black to match with any top.
2. Add a Technical Base Layer or Tee
The right top makes a big difference.
A technical fabric tee will wick sweat, stretch with you, and hold its shape — in or out of the saddle.
